Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are named in the list of top ten places offering cheapest hotels in the world. The result is revealed by a website specializing in online hotel reservation.
The survey shows an increase in booking rates of 69 hotels in 116 world’s famous tourism cities during 2012-2013, especially in the richest sunshine cities of Europe.
In 2013, the room rates in Phnom Penh, Cambodia saw a decrease of 16% compared to 2012, with the average rate of approximately 33 English pounds (1,115,000 VND)/night, ranked the cheapest in the world.
The city of Siem Reap in Cambodia was ranked third, its room rates in 2013 were down 17% compared to 2012, reaching 42 English pounds /night.
Occupying the following positions are Chiang Mai (46 English pounds /night), Pattaya (51 English pounds), Ho Chi Minh City (57 English pounds), Riga of Republic of Lativa (61 English pounds), Bangkok (61 English pounds), Krakow of Poland (61 English pounds) and Vilnius of Republic of Litva (64 English pounds/night).
So it can be said that most of cities in the top ten destinations of world’s most affordable hotels are in Asia.
